How it works
- Send us the file. Email hello@lineplate.com with the STEP file of the assembly (or IGES or BREP), or a link to it, and say what the drawings are for.
- We reply with a price and a date. Within 1 working day, with the fixed price and the date you'll have the set. We draw one view free first, so you can judge the style before you decide.
- You approve, we draw the set. Typically within 5 working days of your go-ahead.
- One round of changes. One round of changes to the drawings is included in the price.
- Files and invoice. We send the final files and a Stripe invoice, payable within 14 days.
A revised model after we have started is a new drawing job, priced the same way, not a round of changes.
What we draw, and what stays with you
- We draw what your CAD model shows: its parts, where they sit, and the assembly order you give us.
- We don't check, verify or approve the design, its assembly sequence or its safety, and we don't write safety warnings or instruction text.
- The content of your manual, its accuracy, its safety warnings and whether it meets the rules for your products stay your responsibility. We make no claim that the drawings, or a manual they go into, meet any regulation or standard, such as the EU Machinery Regulation, S1000D or ATA specifications.
Your files
The studio never uploads your file: it works in your browser. This service is different, because you send us the file so that we can draw it. So, plainly:
- We use your files only for your job, and never share them.
- We delete them, and our working copies, 30 days after we deliver the drawings. If the job doesn't go ahead, 30 days after we last hear from you.
- If you need a non-disclosure agreement first, send it with your request. We'll read it and reply before you send the file.
The terms (clause 18) and the privacy notice set this out in full.
