About Lineplate

Lineplate is made in Glasgow by Galaxy Technology, a Scottish partnership of Lesley McCoy and Michael McCoy.

Who builds it

Michael McCoy designed and wrote Lineplate. He is a software architect with more than 30 years of building software, and studied Computing Science at the University of Glasgow (BSc, 1993).

Why it runs in your browser

A CAD assembly is often the most confidential file a company has. Lineplate reads it on your own computer, with the Open CASCADE geometry kernel compiled to WebAssembly, and never uploads it. Security and your files says exactly what is and isn't sent.

The example manual was made by the studio from a STEP file, with nothing drawn by hand. Or send us one sub-assembly and we draw it free.
